Game setup:
1. When you open the box, first take out the board and place it on the table. Inside the box, there are 4 decks of cards: Truth cards, Action cards, Mystery cards, and Group Action (GO) cards. Each deck is distinguished by its color and has a designated place on the board. Place each deck in its assigned spot on the board.
2. Each player chooses their own playing piece. There are a total of 8 pieces in the box, so the game can be played by 2 to 8 players. Everyone takes their preferred piece and places it on the starting space.
3. Choose one player who will also take on the role of the banker.
4. Then the distribution of money to the players begins: at the start, everyone receives $85 — one $5 bill, one $10 bill, one $20 bill, and one $50 bill.
5. Don’t forget to stock up on alcohol and shot glasses—you’re definitely going to be drinking. 🍻
After that, we move on to the game itself.
Starting the game:
All players roll both dice. The player who gets the highest roll goes first.
Gameplay:
1. You landed on someone else’s property:One major difference from classic Monopoly is that you don’t buy properties here. Everyone owns their bars from the very beginning. The characters you choose have their own names, and on the board each character already has properties under their ownership.
For example, if you land on Mimi’s bar, you either have to pay Mimi $25 or take a shot. If, however, Mimi isn’t playing in the game at all, there are two options you should agree on in advance: either you simply ignore it and pay nothing since the corresponding player isn’t in the game, or you put the money you would have paid into the bank. In situations like this, we recommend putting the money in the bank (or taking a shot) — it makes the game much more fun.
2. Most of the main spaces you’ll land on are self-explanatory. Each one is different, but they all clearly state what you need to do, so we won’t go into explaining those obvious spaces any further.
3. 3. Landing on SPIN:In the center of the board, there’s a bottle that you need to spin when this happens. SPIN can land on one of several possible outcomes: Truth, Action, Mystery, Group Action, Shot, or taking $30 from the bank.
For example, let’s say it lands on Truth. You take a Truth card from the deck, read what it says, and answer the question. If you don’t want to answer, the card clearly states what you must do instead. For instance, if you answer, you receive $10 from the bank; if you don’t answer, you pay $20 to the bank. In short, you act according to what’s written on the card. After drawing a card, place it at the bottom of the deck before continuing the game.
4. You don’t draw cards only when you land on SPIN — you’ll have to draw them at other times as well. Any card you draw is always returned to the same deck, placed at the bottom.
5. SNITCH position: When you land here, you can demand that a player of your choice takes a shot. In any case, the shot must be taken — if they refuse, they lose.
Alternatively, instead of demanding a shot, you may give that player the card corresponding to the color of the SNITCH space you landed on. If they complete the task, they receive the amount written on the card from the bank. If they don’t or can’t complete it, they must pay the amount stated on the card.
6. Running out of money -This doesn’t mean you’re out of the game. You have to take two shots in a row and you’ll receive $50. You still must pay whatever amount you owe, and then you continue playing. In short: 2 consecutive shots = $50, but only when you have a payment to make and don’t have enough cash on hand.
7. Start: When you pass this space, you receive $30 from the bank.
8. Shot: If you land here, you must either take a shot or put $25 into the bank.
9. Prison: When you go to jail, you miss two turns. However, you still have a chance to roll: on your turn, you may choose to roll the dice anyway. If you roll a double, you get the chance to get out of jail and continue the game as normal.
There’s even a possibility that you won’t miss any turns at all: when you first land in jail, you immediately roll again. If you roll a double, you’re free. However, if you end up in jail because you rolled a double, then it doesn’t matter — you must serve the full two turns.
10. RIPDEAL – If you land here, you take $40 from any player you choose. Simple as that — you can take the money from whoever you want.
11. Joker - If you land there, you take a Joker card. The Joker is your shield — no matter where you land or whatever another player tries to pull on you, you have a one-time block. Once you use it to block something aimed at you, the Joker card is returned to the bank.
Ending the game:
Now you’ll probably have a logical question. If everyone can just take 2 shots and get $50 whenever they run out of money, does that mean no one actually gets eliminated until we’re completely wasted? — Well… that’s definitely one possible outcome, yes. 😄
But according to the rules, at the start of the game everyone agrees on an X amount. For example, we decide that whoever is the first to collect $500 wins the game, and that’s how it ends. This way, everyone actually gets to play, and the game doesn’t drag on endlessly for hours like classic Monopoly, until everyone goes bankrupt (or gets completely drunk). 🍻
